Luke's at the super cute stage where he says hi to everyone and everything. Getting him out of his car seat? Hi. Passing by random strangers in a grocery cart? Hi. Picking up a phone sized object and holding it to his head? Hi.
I'm enjoying this language acquisition stage immensely, mostly because it's the precursor to having a Kid Who Says the Darndest Things. And, eventually, one of those funny kids who writes a Children's Letter to God.

Sophie says "bye" to everyone and everything.
I'm imagining their conversation at Christmas:
Hi!
Bye!
Hi!
Bye!
Hi!
Bye!
Hi!
Bye!
Well, you probably get the idea...
BTW, what is that orange cubicle Luke is standing in?
The orange cubicle is the phone booth at the Children's Museum. Luke might also tell Sophie:
Don' Thwow. (shake head)
Dog. Kitty. A ball. Baby.
And then he'll break out in song:
Row Row Row (rolling arms)
and Ba Ba Ba Ba
Should be fun.
Does he still throw whatever is in his hand after saying, "don' thwow?" ;-)
Naw! He throws first, then says, "Don' thwow." (It's all in the command placement.)
